The 7th edition of the Vaud International Business Award (PVEI – Prix Vaudois des Entreprises Internationales), which is co-organized by the Vaud Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CVCI), recognized three companies that showed how to adapt to change quickly. This is a strong signal in the pandemic context that we are going through.
As has already been the case every year since 2014, three companies that have made an exemplary contribution to the international reputation of the canton of Vaud have been awarded the PVEI.
This year, the American Intuitive Surgical Inc, a leader in robot-assisted minimally invasive surgery, wins the “Foreign Company” category. Created in 1995, they has more than 7,000 employees worldwide, including 162 in Aubonne.
The “Swiss company” category goes to Boschung Group, leader in the development and production of traffic surface management technologies. The company is present in 10 countries and with about 140 employees in Payerne. The company generates 80% of its turnover from exports.
Finally, the “Special Jury Prize” is awarded to Green Motion SA, which innovates in the field of recharging systems for electric vehicles. Labeled Scale Up Vaud, the company has sixty employees in Lausanne and ten in Zurich. Its projects extend notably in Europe, the United States, China, India and Israel.
Award winners are chosen on the basis of a series of criteria, including the presence of a head office in the canton for at least three years, a contribution to the canton’s image abroad and the creation of local jobs.
The organisation of the Prize is coordinated by International Link, the CVCI’s service dedicated to international entities.
